Our last day of cycling in Tibet was the easiest. Supposedly the world's longest descent of >100km. It was downhill all the way, so I should call it an exercise in brake control. (And thank goodness, there were no headwinds.)
More activity as we got closer to the border town, Zhang Mu, which was at the foot of the mountain. The last stretch into town became off-roading of some sort due to heavy construction. Instead of paved roads, it was mud and potholes and construction equipment and workers to avoid. I would go over a good-sized puddle without knowing how deep it was. It was a thrill for a newbie (and freaky at times), but completely unexpected (a reflection of how fast development takes place in Tibet/China). So my glamor shot afterwards.
Uncharming Zhang Mu.
