Food

Ok, obligatory food pics for the foodies, which is like...em...all of you. I must say that the food on the trip exceeded my expectations. I was a bit concerned 'cos I didn't have good food experiences on my past trips to China. So most of my granola bars were left untouched at the end of the trip.

Lunch, Xinjiang style, in Lhasa.
The cucumber cold dish is yummy.
I love naan! Had some of the best naan in Lhasa.
Our very first snack stop on the first day of cycling.
Breakfast. This thing is huge.
Breakfast. I was so happy to get that bread-like thing. The hot chocolate (brought from home) was my comfort food.
We nearly always forget to take food photos before we start eating (mainly 'cos we're very hungry most of the time). So as you can see, one dish is already gone.
Delicious lunch at the end of the endless road. I forgot which day this was.
Part of dinner at New Tinggri.
Lunch at a high pass. And instant coffee. Yum!
Lunch at a high pass. Alfresco dining.
A dinner.
Yummy noodles. Love the noodles.
Ah, peeled and sliced apples...personally served by our leaders. (This was 'cos some of us didn't want to eat apples unless the skins were taken off.)
Another meal.
Our snack - "french cake" (says the package) and Oreos.
This was our first meal in Kodari, Nepal. Absolutely delicious even though it doesn't quite look so.
Western meal in Kathmandu.
